MICHAEL GARY
Mike is a Captain with the Pentagon Police Department, and is currently assigned as an Operations Division Commander. Prior to that, Mike served as the Bike Patrol Sergeant, Lieutenant,
and instructor for the department. Mike has been a member of Law Enforcement United since its
inception in 2009, and has participated in both the VA route and the PA route. Mike has also participated in every FLETC ride since 2010.

PETER GEARY
Peter has been a Deputy Sheriff with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (FL) for the past 9 years, and is currently assigned to the Training Division as and Academy Advisor. Peter has been a member of Law Enforcement United since
2010 when he participated in the 2010 VA Route. For the last 4 years in addition to the 3Day Road to
Hope Ride, Peter has also participated in the FLETC Ride.

RICH GALLO
Rich is a retired federal agent having spent 24 years with USDAOIG. He is the former National President of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association from 1996 to 2003 (also held several other national positions: First VP, National Secretary, National Chapters Director & also was the New York City Chapter President from 2003 to 2009). He has ridden from Chesapeake to DC (or Reading, PA to DC) every year since 2003. Started the FLETC Long Ride in 2005 and has ridden every year since. Was recognized as top fundraiser several years as well as awarded the LEU "Man of the Year" by both the PA (2014) and VA (2016) chapters. Holds a BS in criminal justice (1979) an MPA
(1982) and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (1985). Most importantly he rides in honor of six friends whose names are on the memorial wall.

RYAN PETERSON
Ryan has been a member of LEU for the past three years, and also participated in the FLETC Long Ride in 2016. Ryan has been an officer for 9 years and is currently assigned to the department's Special Investigations Unit.

MATT SCHROEDL
Matt is a patrol sergeant with the City of Madison Police Department in Wisconsin. Matt has been with Madison Police for the past 18 years. Mattt has been a member of LEU for the past five years and rode the FLETC ride for the past 3 years. Matt has assisted with the fishing clinics at COPS kids camp and this year he will be a mentor at camp.

CHRIS POTTER
Chris has been an officer with the Tucson Police Department for 24 years. Chris has served in patrol, bike unit, hostage negotiator, SWAT, firearms instructor and since 2011 assigned to the Air Support Unit as a helicopter/airplane pilot. Chris is also an Arizona C.O.P.S. Trustee, coworker survivor of Officers Hardesty and Hite, and married to a surviving spouse Sherry Potter. Chris has been involved with LEU since 2010

Tommie has been a member of LEU for the past four years and a FLETC rider for the past three years. I am currently a Detective for the Apple Valley Police Department in Minnesota. We all have different reasons for joining LEU, but we all have the same mission. A member of my police department and friend convinced me to become a member of LEU after my last shooting in 2012. Knowing that an organization like ours is there to help the survivors is what drives me to be part of LEU.

Toisha is a Hotel and Regional Event Coordinator for Heartland Dental. Toisha became close with the surviving family of the fallen officer at her husband’s department, and has been actively involved and supported several COPS and LEU sanctioned events since. She also served as the social media coordinator for the FLETC ride in 2016

Debbie Geary, RN is presently working with the University of Miami. Debbie is also a law enforcement survivor since 1988. She is a past National COPS President (19982000), and has been a member of Law Enforcement United since 2013.

JEANNE ECKES-ROPER
Jeanne Eckes-Roper, RN is a registered nurse with 35 years in trauma and critical care. She currently works for the US Department of Health and Human Services as a Regional Emergency Coordinator. Jeanne has worked for both Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center in Miami and the Broward General Trauma Center in Ft. Lauderdale providing trauma and critical care. She will be part of the medical support team during this ride for the Roanoke Route.

TREVLOR JOHNSON
Trevor has been with Minnetonka Police Department MN for 17 years. He is a current instructor in firearms, use of force, TASER and bike patrol. Trevor has been a LEU member since 2013 and a 2 year of FLETC. Trevor will be assisting with uniforms for the ride.
