The Long Ride
LEU Long Ride Pedals Again in California in 2026
with the help of
Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation of Santa Ana, CA
The LEU Long Ride is like no other divisional ride; the 2026 ride is in CALIFORNA, and we pedal for 800 miles over 8 days.
Starting April 30th in San Francisco, LEU "Long Riders" will pedal 100 miles a day for 8 days. Once the ride ends on May 7th these members fly back east to participate in one of the 3-day division rides, coming together in D.C. during Police Week.
The LEU Long Ride will host 62 memorial wreath laying ceremonies during the 8 days of pedaling. At each ceremony, LEU memorabilia are distributed to those assembled. All wreathes, patches, lunches, and several other expenses are being graciously donated by the STANLEY W. EKSTROM FOUNDATION as the Long Riders fulfill LEU's mission of Honoring the Fallen, Remembering the Survivors.
If you are thinking of joining the Long Ride (for all or part of the 8 days) we can supply you with the logistic details (bike transfer, cost, appropriate flights, etc.). This ride reaffirms your commitment to LEU's mission, because as part of a small intimate group standing next to survivors, Chiefs, Sheriffs, and elected officials as part of the ceremony – you experience the utmost satisfaction in knowing you are taking LEU's mission to a higher level.
Feel free to reach out to any of the following contacts for additional information, and to put you in contact with a Long Rider from your area / team. They can confirm what an honor it is to be a part of the Long Riders.
