The Race is set to take place at:
Oak Grove Lake Park,
409 Byron Street, Chesapeake, Virginia. 23320
The course is a 1.5 mile crushed gravel loop that circles the man made lake.
The 5K race is followed by a quick dip in Oak Grove Lake. Those who complete both the 5K run and the dip will receive a finisher medal!
All participants will receive a Schock & Shivers T-shirt.
ABOUT SCHOCK & SHIVERS
The run is named in honor of two Chesapeake Police Officers:
* Timothy B. Schock, who drowned in Oak Grove Lake during a police dive training exercise.
EOW Dec. 20, 2011, (and)
* Jarrod B. Shivers, who was killed in the line of duty while serving a warrant.
EOW: Jan 17, 2008.

2018 Virtual Run Information

Can't make it out for the race? No problem. This year we are offering the opportunity to still participate in a Virtual 5K.
Follow the link below to register, then at your leisure, go out for a run, or hit the treadmill for 3.12 miles. For your participation, you will receive an event shirt in the mail.
